Earlier this year Crown Hotels and Restaurants were awarded a tender to supply catering for five years at Caldicot Castle. They have successfully provided catering at Caldicot Castle throughout the 2012 season and helped re-establish the castle as a venue for weddings, banquets and other events. However as a result of recent discussions agreement has been reached for Crown Hotels and Restaurants to hand back the catering arrangements to Monmouthshire County Council at the end of January next year.
As a result Monmouthshire County Council, as owners and operators of Caldicot Castle, will be making alternative arrangements to ensure that visitors to the Castle in 2013 are able to access quality catering facilities and to accommodate future weddings and other events.
All those bookings already made with Crown Hotels and Restaurants, including banquets and weddings for the rest of the year and through 2013 will be fully honoured and delivered by Crown Hotels and Restaurants.
The castle is a unique venue and remains available for future weddings or other event bookings all year round and enquiries are welcome, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 01291 420241 for details.
The castle re-opens as a visitor attraction on Saturday 23rd March 2013 for the 2013 visitor season with a full programme of events and activities for the 50th anniversary season of the castle being in public ownership.
