Peter Clarke, the Chairman of Monmouthshire County Council hosted a celebration of the agreement at County Hall last week (23rdMarch) with local representatives joining the leader and chief executive of the county council in signing the Charter.
The Charter promotes regular and improved communication between the County Council and community and town councils, and sets up regular area meetings supported by liaison officers.
Councillor Clarke welcomed the signing of the Charter, recognising that Monmouthshire is a network of close communities. He hoped that this agreement would strengthen partnerships that could grow and sustain communities and towns.
