MCC need your help
You may be aware that we have a very exciting event coming to Monmouthshire this summer. In June (26th – 29th) we will host the British Cycling National Road Championships. Second only to the Tour de France, this is one of the biggest events in the cycling calendar. The world's media will be on our doorstep and with the likes of cycling stars Bradley Wiggins, Mark Cavendish and Lizzie Armitstead riding through our county, that's bound to bring a lot of attention. And we need to make sure that we're showing the very best of our beautiful county so that people want to come back.
We have a team of people working on making this event happen but we can’t make it a real success without help. This is where we need you.
We need volunteers and there's a whole range of opportunities for you to get involved. Some of it will be marshalling or stewarding, manning feed stations, some of it will be answering people's questions on the streets, some of it will be less glamorous but no less essential and will be helping to keep our streets clean. Whatever it is that you are willing to help with please let me know. Any help you can give will go towards promoting what a wonderful place Monmouthshire is and really get noticed as one of the cycling capitals of Britain.
If you'd rather be involved in a more active way, why not sign up to ride the Championship Sportive. There are routes available to suit all and it’s a great opportunity to try a new challenge or raise money for your favourite charity.
We really hope that you’d like to be involved. You don’t have to love cycling to help. You just have to love Monmouthshire. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Whatever it is that you can do to help, please chip in and email firstname.lastname@example.org
