The Bungalow Project has organised a FREE trip for local Senior Citizens to Weston-Super-Mare for Tuesday 5th July. The trip has been funded by The Co-operative Community Fund and transport has been provided free of charge by Monmouthshire Passenger Transport. We are able to take up to 50 Senior Citizens and they will be treated to a lunch of fish, chips, peas, bread and butter and a pot of tea at The York Hotel, which is just a stone's throw from the Grand Pier.
We plan to leave Chepstow at approx 9.30am and return at around 4.30pm.
Staff and students of The Bungalow Project at Chepstow school will be accompanying the group, the bus is a fully accessible one with no steps and can be lowered to kerb level.
Priority will be given to Monmouthshire Housing Association residents but anyone may apply for a place as long as they are over the age of 60. Please can interested parties telephone 01291 621552 Tuesday - Friday between the hours of 9am and 3pm.
(For information, The Bungalow Project is a Nurturing and Holistic Centre at Chepstow School that started an inter-generational community project almost a year ago. We carry out gardening projects that will benefit the more mature members of our community and organise social events for them as well. We work in conjunction with MHA and to date have been very successful and have undertaken a considerable amount of work. The Bungalow Project and it's community project known as 'Growing Opportunities' is run by Angela Jones and Helene Roche).
